Friday, September 11, 2015 marks the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The collapse of World Trade Center Tower 2 destroyed St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, originally established in 1916. The rebuilding of St. Nicholas Church and National Shrine at Ground Zero is now underway.
We will provide presentations on this project and will be accepting donations at the Festival for the rebuilding efforts.
Chloe’s Fight Rare Disease Foundation (CFRDF) was established in 2011 to support research that focuses on finding and implementing effective cures and treatments for rare childhood genetic diseases such as metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD).
On the night of Friday, September 11 we will host the Chloe’s Fight 5K Toga Run/Family Walk and Kid’s Toga Race around Lake Calhoun. All proceeds benefit CFRDF and its mission. Chloe's parent's, Erica and Philip Barnes, are St. Mary’s parishioners who founded CFRDF in honor of their daughter.
